 THE THINGS YOU DO

 MATTER

Parental involvement in education is one of the most important factors in a child's academic success. Studies have shown that children whose parents are involved in their education are more likely to attend school regularly, get better grades, and graduate from high school. They are also less likely to drop out of school or get involved in delinquent behavior.

HOW YOU CAN BE INVOLVED

  • Attending parent-teacher conferences.
  • Volunteering at your child's school.
  • Helping your child with homework.
  • Talking to your child about school.
  • Creating a home environment that supports learning.
  • Be informed of your child's progress.
  • Attending Parent Resource Events.
  • Ensuring the child attends class.
